Does anyone else just... not care about characters ages? lol Like for me, tbh, most of the time I just don't pay attention to character ages in books unless it's important to the plot and just kinda picture them as whatever. Which I guess is probably a shot at me for being a "bad" reader but whatever.
Like one of my all time favorite books is a YA with teenage characters, but even the first time I read it I never really pictured them as teenagers and their ages only get brought up a couple times if I remember correctly so to me it's just 'in one ear out the other' and I picture them differently. But looking at reviews for the book, a TON of people say that one of the main reasons they couldn't enjoy the book that much was the age of the characters and how it didn't feel realistic for their ages. Which, totally fine no judgement to them, but am I the odd one out for not really caring about ages?? Or do others read the same way I do lol

This was cute and a step up from the two other romance books i tried to read this month and dnf-ed.
That being said, once the characters actually get together, the writing got a bit clunky and cheesy (not in a cute way). The conversations between characters didn't read very natural and it was all a bit too surface level.
But I still love a good sapphic romance, so I won't complain too much

I got the ick... The emails were really cute en endearing but I already hate the miscommunication, Lily is a doormat (tho i would love to see her talk back to everyone who is mistreating her) and Nick is just a big nope for me. I am really struggling to empathize with his character so this will most likely go on the dnf pile

First i want to say I guessed the culprit in the first third of this book so I am very proud (but maybe it's just that I am getting familiar with Holly Jackson's way of plotting her books). It might almost be said that Jet was a bit slow to actually guess important plot twists (though the incoming brain aneurysm probably didn't help).
This was really fun to listen to but I did not like how the narrator portrayed Billy. Big turn off. The rest was interesting and as gripping as I was expecting

it's quite satisfying feeling one step ahead of the MC and guessing the twists (also i'm really curious to find out if i guessed who the main culprit is from almost the very start)

The more I think about this book (I finished it this morning), the more I like it! If you're an avid fanfiction reader, I think you'll really like the writing style of this story. The back and forth in the dialogue was so fun to follow (10/10 for the banter). But i can see why people who don't usually enjoy fanfic, have also not liked this book. But to me, I so thoroughly enjoyed how new and fun it felt compared to what i usually read (not much of a romantasy gal tbh)
