What’s a word you’ve pronounced wrong because you initially only encountered it in books?

Post inspired by my recent discovery that I’ve been pronouncing "facsimile" incorrectly for years 😔

Enjoying this so far - it seems it’s going to be a series of short stories with different characters, I’m interested in seeing how the bookshop ties in to it all. The wording is a little confusing in places but that’s to be expected from a translation and I’m getting used to it, in fact I find the style rather charming
