Assuming you read this in publication order, you know what you are getting into. If you are a fan of THG I definitely recommend picking this up as it adds good insight to the original books.
Collins is great at writing distinct characters with realistic flaws and dialog. It had been a while since I read THG... like since it originally released in 2008.... I feel old now... but I think I would have appreciated it more if I had done a reread of the trilogy beforehand. I would recommend that if you have the time.
