After reading The Burning God, I was catatonic.
After reading The Drowning Faith (a short novella from Nezha’s POV), I was a crying mess 😭😭😭

Already obsessed with this world and Fatma's place in it. We're in the deep end right away, no hand holding and I'm here for it.

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

For me 3.6-3.4 stars are the limit. Anything below that I refuse to read. I'm probably being picky but I just don't want to end up in a reading slump. What about you guys?

I highly recommend you read the prequels first. They’re very short and add a lot of background information to the world and the characters. I really enjoyed them!
Edited to add #2 because it wasn’t on the list I’d originally referenced. I’ll have to hunt it down since my library doesn’t carry it. I loved #1 & #3 though!
