The end of this book had me staring at the wall for like 10 mins not really knowing what to do with myself (in the best way)

Tbh⦠Iām not a fan of the percentage update while reading. I donāt get the hype š¤·š¼āāļø I think itās more work than necessary. I totally get the reading list updates, or reading goal updates. What does everyone else think?? What am I missing??
Iām curious why it was important enough to be added

We had this discussion in class today, but I wanted to hear more opinions. How do you feel about ghostwriters? Is it acceptable to use a ghostwriter?
I feel like itās so accepted in nonfiction, but what if it came out that one of your favorite authors had a ghostwriter or a team of ghostwriters? How would you feel?

How do you get the number of books on your TBR down? What's your strategy?
I saw someone online (@printedpapertraveler on instagram) do a board game style challenge where she reads what is on the tile of whatever she lands on in the game. I think that sounds fun, but I was wondering if anyone has some fun original ways to knock down the numbers on a TBR. Esp as a mood reader

is anyone else still using their storygraph account? i feel funny going back and forth between the two but i love the charts and data that storygraph presents you (guess i'm a nerd)
if you're not still using it, what are you using instead?

Until the very end, Marcos had walked on an EXTREMELY THIN line between being the only half-decent, rational character and actually being a total hypocritical asshole. After the finale I feel you can't have doubts anymore, although I don't know if he did what he did to Jasmine because of society and trauma turned him into what he despised, or simply because he's a man.

I just wanted to say thank you to the makers of this app and to the community too - Iāve really struggled with reading this year, my grandma was really sick from last October and she passed away this August on her birthday, and i havenāt been reading much at all this year because of the stress.
it wasnāt until I downloaded this app at the beginning of the month that I started finding real joy with reading again - and especially with discussing books. the next thing you know Iāve read 18 books in one month out of a total 40 managed this year which feels so wild.
So yeah thank you for being such a lovely creative community and wonderful app creators!

Trying to branch out into reading more nonfiction books. Any suggestions for exciting nonfiction reads that are written creatively?
I don't hate a textbook approach especially if I want to do research into a topic but I appreciate a writer that can inform their audience while being exciting and engaging.
