This book has been recommended to me by a couple of people and I’ve seen really good reviews on it. I know that I’m not that far in but it’s really not holding my attention and I’ve been having to force myself to read it a little. I like the characters so far but I just think the writing style is kinda slow for it not being super descriptive (I still like it I just feel like it takes a lot of pages for not a lot to happen and everything is in simple wording at the same time, i can go along with a slower pace more if it was a fantasy book with world building if that makes sense?). Idk. Generally for me after or around 50 pages of a book I’m hooked or I start to turn pages faster but I just haven’t felt that feeling so far.

Any thoughts about the beginning of the book or thoughts from people who have finished it? Is it just me/does it speed up?

  • January Update?

Hii everyone! We're 20 days into the month and I was wondering how's everyone reading going?

    1. Have we read? If not that's okay!
    2. If you have, are there any books you loved yet?
    3. If you do a tbr list, have you been following it or have you gone off the rails?
    4. Done any buddy reads?
    5. I know a lot of ppl had some anticipated reads for this month, if you had one did you read it yet? Did you like it?

I've finished 10 books so far and have had a pretty good reading journey this month! Five of the ten I've read have been amazing reads for me, as I gave them five stars! Those five are also some of my most anticipated reads and I'm so glad I loved them.

I did make a January tbr list, a list of 12 books and I have proudly finished 2 ! Lol not a lot, but this is huge for me because I'm very bad at following lists. Very much a mood reader! Also, I did have one buddy read. Well, an attempt at a buddy read, wasn't in the mood for the book so I did pause it but I do have more buddy reads planned and I'm so excited!

Let me know how yours have gone so far!
