I feel like a try hard because I’ve already read five of these. But in my defense I did quit halfway through the second LOTR book because those trees talk forever 🫠

Valid. From this list I've only read The Fifth Season and I should have been intimidated 😂 Also have started The Lord of the Rings some time ago but I wasn't ready for it yet and dropped it and it's waiting to be picked up again one day 🤣

I relate so hard!! Sometimes, the only way to make it less intimidating is to listen to the audiobook (and ignore the 29h total run time) - I have managed to finally tackle Brandon Sanderson that way this year!
That aside, I want to hype everybody to read Assassin's Apprentice, it genuinely is sooo good and the whole series is definitely worth the 16 or however many books. It's super intimidating at first but once you've started it will pull you in!
