Well I'm glad that's over.
I'd hoped this would be a cute holiday story but instead this novella was frustrating and uncomfortable. The characters acted so strangely and the story felt disconnected from the events and magic of the trilogy.
The "plot" was so out of place for the festive holiday setting. Like merry christmas but lets make it dubcon?
Scarlett and Julian barely featured in this at all... which is so disappointing because I would have loved seeing more about how they were both adjusting to life after the events of Finale. And I hate how insecure Tella was in her relationship after everything that's happened... it just felt like a big step backwards from where the trilogy had left off.
The illustrations were gorgeous! I just wish the story matched their vibe.

I'm glad this book was dual POV because I enjoyed seeing both Scarlett and Tella grow throughout the story. Even though there were some pacing and predictability issues, the plot and world were still interesting to read about. I would have liked the Fates to be a little more fleshed out though.
