E-Book/Reader Organization (Kindle vs Xteink) šŸ“š

I recently switched from Kindle to Xteink X3 and am curious how others organize their ebook collection on their e-readers. I mostly relied on book cover images for Kindle navigation, but the Xteink is primarily text based aside from the home screen. (I’m using the CrossPoint firmware) Do you keep your entire ebook collection on the e-reader? Or just the currently reading/TBR? Separate into folders by genre or other? My disorganization is also a symptom of my TBR book hoarding… so maybe that’s what I need to address first.

  • Chit-Chat: What made you a reader?

    Hello everyone!

I wonder if anyone remembers their first book or the incident that made them into a reader today? Share your stories!

For me, the earliest memory I have of reading books was when I was 5. My mother and I were walking down the street and found a street vendor selling children books with cheap prices. It had stories, activities and lots of pictures. I was drawn to the picture on the cover-page and made my mother buy it for me. Reading became my very first hobby. That led to me buying comics books every month and having no friends, I spent most of my times reading and years later, I am proud to still be an avid reader hehe.

I went from comics to YA novels when I was a teen. I mostly started reading romances. Now I rarely read romance haha. Anyone else who completely changed their preferences or is trying to change their reading habit? Would love to know more of stories of readers! ✨

Shoutout to the audiobook narrator, Rebecca Lowman, for a phenomenal chicken impression.

Hopefully will remember to come back to leave a better review on such a meaningful, thought-provoking, educational book. If I could rank it higher than 5 stars, I would. John Green is an amazing author and narrator. Planning to buy the book to annotate in the future!

  • The Downfall of Importing

I had a bunch of books I was in the middle of reading when I imported my Goodreads list. Now I want to update my reading progress but it creates a false stat.

Ex. I read like 12 pages but bc I started at page 100 it thinks I read 112 pages bc the book imported at 0 progress.

Not the biggest issue in the world but it bothers me. Lol. Do I start the book over? Just suck it up and forget that happened? Write a note on the progress comment that my stats are a lie!?

Are any other stat lovers dealing with this cunnundrum or just me?
