You have perfectly timed this list Mossy! I am currently reading Piranesi and last night thought to myself I want to read more books that feel like this! Do you have a recommendation of what to try next from here?

7

Oh i love this!! Synchronicity!!! I havent read Piranesi yet (high on tbr) but from what I understand, I’d say Mad Sisters of Esi. Maybe also The Starless Sea or poss even Water Moon.

Not on this list but Echo North has a magical (slightly surreal) house. I adored reading about it. It’s a fantasy retelling though so probs not same vibe. But if this sounds interesting, I’d recommend going in blind

Also! You might find options on @kishmish ‘s Post-colonial Fever Dreams list or @shannamania ‘s Floating in a deprivation tank vibes list :))

Lmk ehat u decide!!

Echo North has been on my TBR for a while! I will make that one a priority for sure. All the others sound great too! Thank you so much for the recs and other lists to check out! I will report back. ❤️

5

Thank u thistle!!!! 💛

2

I love this! Have you ever read pure color? Im playing “will they/wont they” with my library holds for this one and I need someone to sell me on it one way or another

4

Ahhhh not yet, it’s on my tbr and i do want to read it… maybe we’ll both get round to it and see eo in the forum? 👀

2

I would love that

2

ooo I love this list theme

3

Thank you sweet Meagan!!!! ❤️

Possible contender for this list: The Unconsoled - Kazuo Ishiguro. Such a curious book, it truly felt as though one was IN a dream, in the way that the story shifts and changes without making sense but only in the way a dream DOES make sense.

1

Maya!!! I love this list omg, some of my favourite books! So excited to jump into more of them
