yess many of these are my favourite books! Stoner, Frankenstein, The Remains of the Day, Piranesi. happy reading :)

Nice list. I could see 'All the lovers in the night' or 'Strange weather in Tokyo' fit here, too.

2

1

I love this theme. If you are taking suggestions, I recommend Toad by Katherine Dunn.

2

ooh this looks like a polarising one, and fascinating. thank you!

2

If you're open to YA, I will suggest Somebody This Pain Will Be Useful to You (Peter Cameron)!

2

I'll look into this, thank you for the rec!

2

Might I also suggest Hour of the Star by Clarice Lispector? I loved that one! The "plot" is pretty much based on the sole character Macabea and how she comes to terms with her identity by herself

2

oh good shout i loved this one too! the final scene especially fits here 🥲

2

That's exactly what I was thinking too 😭

2

Great topic and book selection
