Don't read these books. A list of books to remove from your TBRs for being AI Slop garbage.
An AI author can generate slop fictions so easily that 1 Ai author published over 200 AI generated books within a year. We need to be diligent in our reading choices.
This list will include the first books of series (which get churned out in days) added to from the good reads 'Ai slop' list, and other various sources I will include in the comments to this post. Please comment other books I have missed.

To add a general list of author pen names that are confirmed to use AI writing (because this is hard to confirm and is usually speculation):
Coral Hart (loud and proud about use of AI) KC Crowne (left AI prompts in writing) Lena Mcdonald/ Sienna Patterson (left AI prompts in writing) Kate Seger (loud and proud about use of AI) Jodi Chow (suspicious publishing times) Cassie Alexander (loud and proud about AI use) Rania Faris (left aI prompts in printed book) Sarah Griffin (dating her AI boyfriend, co-authored bookS together)

Added books from this pro AI publisher, 'Future Fiction Press' who proudly use AI throughout the writing and publishing process. Includes the authors:
Elizabeth Ann West Stacey Anderson Steph Pajonas Lana Corbin Finley Ellis Margot Hollis Sydney Marsh Zelda Quinn Dana Winston
Books added from their website which discusses their open use of AI: https://futurefictionpress.com/books/

I added as many as I could from this list, most of them haven't been added on this site (thankfully) but I can see some of them have :(( I will keep adding other books I find here
so much relief seeing 0% overlap with this list!!
The relief I also felt to know I haven’t been duped yet😅
thank you for your service!!
Thank you so much for this! I and many others appreciate your hard work 💛
Good to know, thank you
I'm actually scared of how many people do these kinds of things. I hate it here :(. thanks for the notice!! congrats on the work!
Thanks so much for this list! ❤️❤️
Thank you sm!
thanks
Thank you so much!! Absolutely diabolical how many "authors" expect people to read books they can't even be bothered to write
You should also add powerless to this list, seeing as the author admitted to using AI and also the fact that it's stolen work.
Also thanks for the list, lovely 💕

Thank you for letting me know! Will do now :))

Hi! I have added to the list because there was evidence of her encouraging use of AI, and heavy speculation of plagiarism/ AI. Although, I could not find solid evidence of AI use
Thank you, she admitted to using AI to hit deadlines during an interview a while back, and it has been proved that it is plagiarism from red queen.
I know I will not be supporting that 😂 thanks again 💕

Thank you so much for providing that lead! I appreciate you giving the heads up so it can be added to the list 💚
Of course 💕
I was going to read powerless but then she ADMITTED to using AI and then it was proven that it's plagiarized 😭
And here's to keeping it at 0% overlap! 🎉🥂
Love seeing zero overlap 😮💨 pheww~
Random but just checking I understand if thats okay - when you say they left AI prompts in the writing, does this mean exactly what it sounds like... that they accidentally left their AI prompts in, or does it mean something else?

They accidentally left the AI response of "I've rewritten the passage..." In the book 😬 Specifically with Lena Mcdonald you can find it online and that she used AI to mimic another author's style
Thank you that makes sense, so they literally left in prompts. I thought surely not, hence why I asked to check!
I just googled it. Blew my mind. As if it isn't bad enough that they are using AI, but then no one's even bothering to proof read. How depressing. I despair.
Thanks for this list!
I was so bummed to see I read one of these (Night shifted), but I read it maybe 7 or 8 years ago, when we were all young and naive to such behaviors.
I was also bummed to see the list had 58 entries until I realized it was just a handful of authors with a lot of titles. I worried it was 58 different authors. The way my heart dropped and instantly buoyed back up.

It does suck finding out a book you were excited to read/ have read was AI. I was so excited for Shy Girl only to find out it was AI (thankfully before I purchased it!)
Yes, there are a lot of books not because there are a lot of AI authors, but because it's easy to generate tonnes of AI slop to sell online for a couple bucks
