gonna suggest model home!!! lots of casual neopronoun use in this one <3

and the robot character in monk and robot uses it/its pronouns - i know it’s a robot technically but they have a big conversation about the use of it/its pronouns which i think might make it a good fit for this list?

Hesitantly going with "no" because I think I want this to focus on types of pronouns that are difficult to find usage examples of. May change my mind or end up making a separate list since I would immediately pass the five book requirement with Monk & Robot + Murderbot.

edit: if you (or anyone) wants to make the itself pronoun list, please go ahead

totally understandable!!!

Becky Chamber's Wayfarers series uses neoprnouns xe/xyr(I can't recall if there are others) for multiple characters, alien species, and young characters who have yet to identify throughout every book iirc, but definitely in The Galaxy and the Ground Within.

Searched "xe" on the wiki and added books with the characters that showed up. I think I must have started keeping track of neopronouns at some point after reading A Close & Common Orbit.

I did not know this about these Star Wars books 👀 that's interesting, Wendig and Johnston like to play with diverse casts like that, but I'm a bit surprised Disney okayed it as early as Aftermath. Also shows how behind I am on both series 😬
