No, it's not. You just didn't learn all of history. (A.k.a. not all period dramas need to be all-white all-straight etc. and we have the sources to prove it)

I need this for grammar and language too. It I had a dollar for every time someone tried to call the language inappropriate for the setting or age of the characters and was wrong I'd be rich by now.

Thanks! :) I guess I got tired of having this argument every time a new season of Bridgerton drops :D
Ughhh, that must be tiring, I literally cannot comprehend how they think queerness is a new concept
My "favorite" was the Three Musketeers TV show when people lost their minds over Porthos being black. My dear darling sugar bunnies, please google a picture of Alexandre Dumas.

Oh this is such an amazing list !! It deserves to be read for those of us who love history and its various loopholes. I'm saving this to read more non-fiction

I should have met you in 2015 ! Because nobody wanted to hear me rave about rocks so I took up Geology
Haha, my roommate for a while in college was a geologist :) I only encountered gemology through my archaeology studies. But I always loved rocks and minerals! And people who rave about them :D
đ„șđ„șđ„șđ„ș life advice is get yourself a rock friend ( living and non-living) LOL
what a wonderful list! I don't know what exactly you're looking for in books to add or if you take suggestions; but if you do, maybe "Gay Berlin" by Robert Beachy fits? It's "an examination of the ways in which the uninhibited urban sexuality, sexual experimentation, and medical advances of pre-Weimar Berlin created and molded our modern understanding of sexual orientation and gay identity." (quote from the description) đ€
Sounds fun, thank you!
There, added a few more :)
