queer cannibalism

one time I told my friend that I was reading a book about cannibalism and they said, "I think you already told me about this" and I said, "that cannot be true, that has to have been a different gay cannibalism book." also look, I don't know about these emoji.

Thank you everyone for your recs. Because of my own "is this book about cannibalism enough to add" when I was making this, I try to read everything before I add them to this list but know that I will get to your recs.

uhhhhh so sorry but I definitely think you should add Joseph Andrew White's "You Weren't Meant to be Human", although I guess technically that might be debatable??

lol, ty for reminding me to read this it, when I do I will probably add it

1

50% overlap lol

4

Only 40% overlap for me, I gotta get my numbers UP

3

same on 50% lmao

2

I saw someone mentioned YWMTBH, but you need to add Grey Dog by Elliot Gish as well! The Lamb by Lucy Rose also has queer cannibalism even if it’s not my personal favorite in the subgenre

3

this opened up my third eye to more queer cannibalism, thank u 👁️💗

thank you for comment, I spent the last hour debating whether or not to add Harrow. (I think. there are enough themes in there to count.)

Hey, the girl just really loves soup!

1

the way most of these are either already on my physical shelf or on my interested pile 🤩 iconic list, thank you 🫡🫡

2

Literally same lmfao now I’m even more excited for them

3

me too! i had no idea that the spear cuts through water had cannibalism in it

3

The title is crazy, I thought how come this even exists as a category?? Then saw 2 of the 5 books are already on my shelves! Ooooops🤭😈

2

If you like queer cannibalism, I think MOST of Mars Adler's stuff would fit the bill here 😋🍴

2

Girl Dinner by Olivie Blake (not to spoil it really, but it's right there in the title)

2

The Starving Saints by Caitlin Starling would fit right in here I think

Oh my god the list description is—yes. 😂 Surprised Monstrilio isn’t here. It fits, I know it does. It’s a great book too. But I almost want to argue it’s also possibly not cannibalism depending on how you look at it. Regardless, I’m certain all yall woild put it on the list. Recommend!

Also— should I be concerned that I feel like I’ve read more cannibalism books but since I was not shocked when I read them my brain is unconcerned with remembering they apply.

Also also— relate to your list description story too because I told my friend about Walking Practice and they were like: here, take this Anne Leckie book about cannibalism. You might like it.

Also also also — I wish I didn’t love this list because I hate spoilers of any sort. I want to read all the books on this list without knowing but my menory is pretty good. Better to know and enjoy I guess.

2

Making it a goal to read every single one of these 🫢

2

lol at your description

1

The urge to add all of these to my 400+ interested list 😫😫

1

Blood on her tongue by Johanna van Veen fits I think

1

63% overlap even tough Yellowjackets and Hannibal are two of my favourite series, I need to stop slacking

1

are any of these lesbian books?
