I was wondering how people search for the Not that well known authors. I do follow some people on insta for queer recs and get some good ones there. But when it comes to not especially queer books I more or less always see the same names. Don’t get me wrong, I do read for example Stephen King a lot and love them. But I’d like to read more independent or smaller authors too.

I was wondering what everyone's favorite movies and tv shows are that have been adapted from books?

The three that come to mind for me are Interview with the Vampire (I like the movie, and I prefer the show over the books themselves), Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, and Howl's Moving Castle.

This is a silly game I like to play with myself at the end of every year. Pitting the protagonists of every book you read in 2025 against each other, who would win?

This is just for fun, we're not necessarily looking for the most accurate answers as much as the funniest or most interesting.

For me it's Una and Owen from The Everlasting (mild spoilers) because they would simply be forced to do the fight again and again if they ever died 😭 (But Gideon Nav would get to look at Una with her big sword and say 'you can put that in me' and she would die very happy about it.)

Funniest answer is Piranesi because he could not kill anyone but he would simply survive because it is the Will of The House (I'm the house)

One of my favorite things to do when I finish a book or a tv show is to make character and book/series playlists of songs that I think would fit!

I also love to listen to other people’s playlists of books and tv shows so if you have any please share!

I felt a reading burn out coming on. I've already hit my goal of 3 books/month so I decided to force myself to take a break. But I am DYING to read something! It so sad not being able to log my progress or discuss what I'm reading here on PB. I'm having major FOMO and often find myself looking at my library list hovering over the 'place hold' button. I know if i start reading though, I won't enjoy it, it will feel forced and I'll hate read the rest of the book. Just wanted to let you all know I miss you.
