Queer All Year

While it is highly celebrated in June, the Queer community exists all year long and this working list is created to support/encourage others to read more literature written by & represented people within said community.

I'd also suggest "Sunburn"; (literary, sapphic) "Down Among the Sticks and Bones" (sapphic, but also mad scientists, vampires, and atmospheric. Read it!); Every Heart a Doorway (trans side character); "She Who Became the Sun" (fantasy, sapphic, possibly non-binary (?)); "A dowry of Blood" (queer vampires); "The raven Cycle (YA gay); "My Policeman" (gay, the movie has Harry Styles in it); "If We Were Villains" (dark academia and repressed gays. Which honestly describes most of the genre); "We Could Be So Good" (1950s New York, gay)

I loved Those who wait by Haley Cass and Whenever you're ready by Rachel Runya Katz, maybe they're a fit here! Thanks for the list <3

A Sharp and Endless Need (literary, sapphic, coming of age) and Perfume and Pain (witty and sharp) knocked my socks off this year.

One of my top fave books: The Heart's Invisible Furies
