Thank you all for your input! I will add in this comment the full version of book titles that were shortened and still made the list:
Babel, or The Necessity of Violence: An Arcane History of the Oxford Translators' Revolution
Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus
One Hundred Years of Solitude: The Story of the BuendĂa Family and the Town of Macondo
(I never thought we would get to 80 books holy hairballs đ€)
I think Babel's full title is Babel, Or the Necessity of Violence: An Arcane History of the Oxford Translatorsâ Revolution

I wish the full title was still used, it's so much more telling I think!
me too! I think the publisher still labels some copies with the full title, but most are just babel i feel
I love this list! I like to refer to these as 'fall out boy titles' đ€

Omg yes! That and panic! at the disco (specifically their album a fever you can't sweat out) đ
haha yes! bring back the days of needlessly long song titles
fall out boy titles đđđ I love it
i was JUST going to comment and say fall out boy titles SAME BRAIN
I'm submitting I Will Kill your Imaginary Friend for $200
This is hilarious. I see so many mangas and new animeâs with long titles, itâs fun to see different mediums doing it as well. đ

Oh yes I don't know much about manga so I can't even imagine how many long titles there are! This is super fun to put together đââïž
I have two non fiction recs!!
Read This When Things Fall Apart: Letters to Activists in Crisis
and Plants Have So Much To Give Us, All We Have To Do Is Ask: Anishinaabe Botanical Teachings
(also both are excellent books!!!)
I'd like to suggest They Can't Kill Us Until They Kill Us by Hanif Abdurraqib.
Also, this is a great list. I love long titles!
ohhhhh good addition
Iâm a big fan of adding this book to as many lists as possible.
Same, same! Abdurraqib is such a great author.
Iâm submitting Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson (how do I italicize)
You can find instructions under "how do I format text?" in the FAQs
I loved Whump!... In Which Bill Falls 632 Miles Down A Manhole by Suzie Day when I was a kid. I just added it to PageBound in case it makes the cut!
Fun list! In addition, I recommend How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Django Wexler (and the sequel, Everybody Wants to Rule the World Except Me).
I think Cosmic Love at The Multiverse Hair Salon by Annie Mare fits here lol
I think I might have a winner: "Noisy Outlaws, Unfriendly Blobs, and Some Other Things That Aren't as Scary, Maybe, Depending on How You Feel About Lost Lands, Stray Cellphones, Creatures from the Sky, Parents Who Disappear in Peru, a Man Named Lars Farf, and One Other Story We Couldn't Quite Finish, So Maybe You Could Help Us Out"

Ding ding ding! Omg this seems like the longest title we've seen yet! Thank you! đ
Fun idea!! Now I wonder how ridiculously long these could get haha
Some candidates off the top of my head:
Also, the full title of Frankenstein is technically "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus" so I think that should count.

Thank you, I added them! Frankenstein I'd love to add but it doesn't have the longer version on PB đą
Check out this book on Pagebound! https://pagebound.co/books/50861882-784a-4dda-b0f8-aabed7e822ff
Sweetness at the bottom of the Pie.
My suggestions: Vera Wongâs Unsolicited Advice for Murderers That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon Both of those also have at least one long-winded sequel đ FOB titles forever đ€

Wow these are lengthy haha love it! Thanks đ
Ooh also The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
LOL great list! if you are accepting recs, i have a few mangas that might work đ problem children are coming from another world, arenât they? iâve been killing slimes for 300 years and maxed out my level the worldâs finest assassin gets reincarnated in another world as an aristocrat my daughter left the nest and returned an s-rank adventurer villainess 99: i may be the hidden boss but iâm not the demon lord

Someone mentioned manga before but I'm not too familiar, these are good additions so thank you!
of course! i also made sure that all these titles are on pb HAHA, but so happy to contribute 𫶠manga is notorious for long and silly titles đââïž
OH also, the guy she was interested in wasnât a guy at all đ«Ą
I have a few nonfic ones, in case you want to add more to the list :)
The Whole Picture: The Colonial Story of the Art in Our Museums & Why We Need to Talk About It by Alice Procter
The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder by David Grann
Singing Like Germans: Black Musicians in the Land of Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms by Kira Thurman
Reframing Blackness: What's Black about âHistory of Artâ? by Alayo Akinkugbe
such a fun list! may i suggest When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain by Nghi Vo
May I present for your consideration: Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing Grand Chief Salamoo Cook is Coming to Town! The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito
The above titles all by Tomson Highway
I found more! These ones are Louise Erdrich: The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse The Master Butchers Singing Club The Future Home of the Living God

I could only find the first book, but it's added đ
Oh! And the children's classic: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
I have a suggestion! Roxana by Daniel Defoe is a good one. It may be one of the longest titles yet! In full, itâs: The Fortunate Mistress: Or, A History of the Life and Vast Variety of Fortunes of Mademoiselle de Beleau, Afterwards Called the Countess de Wintselsheim, in Germany, Being the Person known by the Name of the Lady Roxana, in the Time of King Charles II)

Good find! Why does that woman remind me of Danaerys and her several titles in Game of Thrones đ
Sheâs got nothing on Daenerys. Imagine that title if you had to list them all out!
