Love this! Sweetness and Power is one of my favorite books!! Also recommend The Core of an Onion by Kurlansky (he's just a fantastic writer), Garlic, an edible biography by Robin Cherry, Cooked by Michael Pollan, Cheese and Culture by Paul Kindstedt, The Book of Gin by Richard Barnett, and Extra Virginity: the Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil by Tom Mueller.
I have lots more food books as well if you ever need more.
