Forearms are sexy

I started keeping a list on my phone every time I caught a character drooling over the love interest's forearms and now I am sharing my findings with the world! I shall continue to conduct this important groundbreaking research for the sake of all mankind . Looking for collaborators! If you find any mentions of sexy forearms in your books, I would love to add it!

Note: Inclusion in this list doesn't mean I loved the book, strangely, some of these books are my lowest rated reads. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh no, one of my weaknesses.

10

We Could Be So Good by Cat Sebastian definitely had a lot of forearm talk! Some of it is set in a news room in the late 50's, so there's a lot of rolling of dress shirt sleeves 🫦

10

Loved this one!! I second it! 🙌🏻

3

Perfection!!!! Adding! Thank you so much and may you find all the sexy forearms that your heart desires!!

4

No thank you for making a list I never knew I needed!

2

I love arm — justin bieber

8

I came here to say this 🙂‍↕️

1

May I recommend the book that introduced me to this concept - The Very Secret Society for Irregular Witches

If you go to that forum, you can read some kind Boundlings, prompted by ✨forearms✨, trying to educate me on the concept of sexual attraction, which continues to elude me 😂

7

By the time you finish every single book on this list, you'll understand the allure of forearms hahahha and yessssss! Adding now!

4

Are you trying to undo my ace-ness, one body part at a time? 😂

7

If any body part could do that, I would bet my money on forearms 🤣🤣🤣🤣

7

Demi here. Can confirm my wife’s forearms are a weakness. 😅

3

😂😂 That book (well, not the book, the forum discussion started by the book) did make me notice more when I come across it in other books, but I have yet to notice an impact outside of that.

Now every time I read the word ‘forearms’ my brain goes “❗️sexy? (source: pagebound)”

8

Right?!? I brought it up with a friend one time and then started noticing it in other books to the point I needed to start a list haha

5

Whimsicat you’re killing me. Elite forearm sex appeal though is when men roll the sleeves up on a button-up shirt 🥵

8

Yes, I know 🙂‍↕️ my kind fellow readers of Irregular Witches informed me… 11 weeks ago, according to my reading map 😁

4

May I recommend The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston Good forearm lusting in that one 🫦

6

Yessss! I've had that one on my TBR for ages! Now I'm extra excited about it!

2

You are doing god's work. That god is probably Apollo :D

5

🤣🤣🤣💀💀

3

I honestly never thought about forearms before I started reading romance. I never considered it a hot body part. But my mind has been changed 😌

4

Right?!?

1

Forearms you say???? 🫪🤭🫦🤤 THIS LIST IS AN INSTANT SAVE!!!!! Thank you so much for your service 🫡🙂‍↕️

4

It has become such a spark of joy every time it comes up in a book now hahaha

3

May I recommend One Good Earl Deserves a Lover by Sarah MacLean? The fmc discovers the allure of forearms😮‍💨

4

Yesssss! We love an fmc who catches forearm fever!! Adding to this list!! Also - I haven't read any MacLean book yet, I know this one is a sequel but do you think this series would be a good entry point or is there another one you would suggest?

3

I’d recommend starting with the Love by Numbers series (Book 1 Nine rules to break when romancing a rake), if you like to read chronologically. The series are not heavily interconnected but there are some character appearances/mention from another series, e.g. the fmc of the 1st book of the Rules of Scoundrels series appeared in the Love by Number series. And I think it’s a tiny bit more enjoyable knowing the tea of other characters but it doesn’t depend on it. And if you find you don’t like nine ways then yes, try this series (rules of scoundrels). Theoretically, you can start with any series if chronology isn’t important.

Just an info: I’ve read two series (numbers and scoundrels) so far and I really enjoyed them.

4

Oh perfect!!! Adding to my TBR!! Thank you!

2

Awesome!! Hope you’ll enjoy it and excited for your thoughts whenever you’ll get to it🥰

1

What a beautiful list 🙂‍↕️

3

Thank you so much! 💜

1

I don't know what it is about arms but damn 🫠

May I recommend Wrangled by the Alien Rancher by Ursa Dax?

“The shoulders that I’d been gripping a moment before led down into whopping biceps and a set of thick forearms lined with the most enticing set of ropy veins I’d ever seen.”

3

I want you to know that you are my FAVORITE HUMAN for bringing this one up!!!! It's one of my favorites!!! Adding now!

2

“If I makes you happy” he is a baker 😏

3

Annnnd now I have that song in my head! Addeddddd I bet his forearms are delicious with all that kneading!! yummyyyyyy

2

That song never left my head 🤪

1

oh i can’t wait to see this list grow in titles 🫦

2

Thank you for your continuous research endeavours 😇🙌

2

The Mating Game by Lana Ferguson!

But also like, probably a dozen other novels I can’t remember this early in the morning.

2

Perfection!!! Adding to the list!! Thank you!

2

You could add Ex Talk to the list. I just started the audibook and the FMC loves forearms.

2

Yaaaaaas!!! Added!! Thank you!!

2

Haha, I just finished You Did Nothing Wrong and this list shows. I was a bit confused so I had to come check it out. What a fun list. Thanks for putting it together!

2

2

Not too far along with it but really enjoying it!! Don't know if they'll be anymore forearm action but I live in hope 😂

2

I'm reading "The Shippers" by Katherine Center right now and when the fmc noticed the forearms, I immidiately thought of this list! 🤣 It would be a nice addition to it. :)

2

Yaaaaaaaaas!!! I'm telling you once you start looking for it - it's everywhere!! Adding to the list!! Thank you so much!!

2

“Love at First Fright” -lead rolls up his sleeves a lot during a Victorian horror film shoot 😙

2

adding to this list and my TBR! A Victorian horror film shoot?!? Count me IN!

2

Unfortunately the actual “horror” is pretty minimal 🤷‍♀️

1

Violet Thistlewaite is not a Villain Anymore has a lot of forearm ogling - I unfortunately couldn't finish it, but it wasn't cos of the forearms

2

Now the real question - if there was more forearm fever would it have saved the book for you???? Just kiddingggggggg adding to the list!! Thank you!

2

Unfortunately we will never know if more forearm fever could have saved the book - if anything could it would it forearms
