would love to keep track of the books you have been personally influenced by PB đ
the list would be so long!
and that, my friend Mushypeas, is the best news i've heard all day đ
Carmilla, for sure. I felt the pressure.
Must give credit where credits due:
The Tortoise's Tale by our the @karigan
Ten Tomatoes and Poet's Square by that not science not guy
The Dance of Anger by co-queen @jenniferPagebound
Mad Sisters of Esi and Chain-Gang All Stars by our pink bestie @crybabybea
Silver Under Nightfall by the naughtiest funniest @Fantasy
Will of the Many when 12+ users tried to summon @Devin bc someone started to read it and it took weeks for him to notice
Jurasschrist must shoutout @baileyisbooked, @theodenreads and @zielstarfallen for the absolute terror of a find
The Pocket Guide to Pigeon Watching bc @one_crazy_eliott is actually a pigeon (secrets out)
The Midnight Timetable by the lovely @kishmish
Spread Me by our horror liege @polterbooks
Vampires of El Norte by PB jester @pykora thoughts at 6%
Atlas of AI by one of very own NF queen bees @punkerella
The Works of Vermin @bbyoozi's heart and soul
Masters of Death by vamp queen @jordynreads
Katabasis and Everything is Tuberculosis by just the simple power of Pagebound
I know Polter was talking about Jurassichrist before it blew up but idk if they were the one that Bailey heard about the book from đ€
im so sentimental that the tortoise tale (and me) is included đ„čđ„čđ„č thank you for memorializing these little bits of PB lore!!
cannot wait for the future buddy read for this book đ«¶đŒ
i saw a comment by @theodenreads on a post by @zielstarfallen âs post of jurassichrist & added it to my tbr & thenâŠâŠ things happened
and we thank you, @theodenreads and @zielstarfallen for enlightening us
seeing Spread Me on the top of this list cracked me up, then scrolling down to find Silver Under Nightfall killed me đđ
Let the lore never die đââïžâđŒ and may we prosper and bring chaos into even more spaces
Once I stop ghosting my therapist I can't wait to show him the proliferation of The Dance of Anger
what a beautiful list honoring one of my personal favorite parts of Pagebound, the TBR train hype!!!
so so honored to be included (and that everyone is reading Mad Sisters please read it it's so worth it)
Right! The TBR train is such a fun thing to see! I love trying to go back and figure out where one originates from
must share the love in all spaces of PB đ
I just got it from Netgalley!! (because of this list)
yayay that's so exciting!! can't wait for your thoughts :)
I have given up on my library getting a copy and I have placed my order from the local bookstore đ«Ą
YESSSSSSS OH MY OGD
Leah I ordered a copy yesterday! Youâve been keeping it alive on my feed so I felt it was time to dive in đ„°
LOTTYYYYY I CAN'T WAIT!!! i've been having so so much fun reading everyone's thoughts about it
On the plan for December đ«¶đ»
Raise your hand if you feel personally targeted by this list đ
we are all just looking into one large mirror
I know about the tomato book (staying in neutral territory), but the others I have no idea đ€Ł
Saaaame, really hoping for a write up in this comments section. I wanna be included!
I still don't get the tomato controversy, but have chosen to remain mostly ignorant. I was here for it and just let it wash over me like water under a bridge haha.
(neutral territory is safest đ)
Tortoise's Tale started a fairly large TBR train, notably @lucyPagebound was influenced
The Dance of Anger was the book @jennfierPagebound quoted for her Feminine Rage Side Quest
Mad Sisters of Esi is @crybabybea's holy, lovely text of a book that is going around :)
Silver Under Nightfall is the first book @Fantasy was horny vocal on main đ€
adds all to TBR
My Queen I have failed to read a single PB lore book, please forgive me Iâm on my knees
does the sun set in the west? is the sky blue? is lotty perfect just the way she is? đ
blushes đ«¶đ»
STOPPIT I love it đđđđđđđ I totally missed the tomato saga, but I was there in the shadows secretly judging everyone đ«„
gotta capture the lore now đ«¶đŒ cannot wait to refer back to this in a year đđ
Omg who knows what will be the hot topics then!
we should place bets, like a new year resolution: âwhat book theme shall bring chaos to PB?â
And the winner will be something as normal as tomatoes đ (Also, after considering my position on tomatoes I have discovered I'm neutral. I shan't be eating one like an apple though)
a completely safe and reasonable stance đ«¶đŒ
Thank you for understanding đđŒ
this is so fun!! Iâm so sat to see the PB lore grow and see what other books are added đ€
comment has been deleted.
I like that this deleted comment is getting likes lol
And you get points! And YOU get points!
perfect!!! canât wait for more to be added đ„Č
I submit Spread Me for consideration. The one and only Polter brought it to my feed. đ
HOW COULD I FORGET kittynado to the rescue đ€©
Anything to spread the word.
diabolical comment, 10/10
this might feature in my nightmares tonight lol đ”âđ« curiosity killed the cat this time
Iâm on vacation in a few weeks and Iâm planning on reading it then. Itâs my most anticipated book of the year đ
I'm honored and also horrified đ of all the books I could trendset, it had to be that one.
May i suggest either This Fatal Kiss or All Woven with Ivy by me? đ we can also wait till more people read, i am a start-up pyramid scheme after all
Possibly also Tiny Moons by Nina Mingya Powles. Very start-up tho hehehe i love power
i would be delighted to share your gospel mossy đ please speak your truth!!
Oh my gosh thank you đđŁđȘą looking forward to u joining next year đđ«Ą
happy to join as many polycules as it takes đ«¶đŒ
the title of this list is scaring me a little bit đ€š
I promise Iâm a good goat, nothing to be scared of (maybe just a lil)
iâll join the pyramid scheme⊠just for you đ€©
the way the tbr train choo choo'ed multiple of these books not only onto my tbr but my actual plan!!! obsessed with this list because I love peer pressure
the way PB peer pressure has altered so many readers, I love it đ
i'm so glad to have introduced this website to the pyramid scheme terminology, i enjoy how the impact of my professional clownery spreads far and wide!
ayz please forgive my failure to credit you and magnificent brain and clownery that graces this place every day, the description has been updated correctly đ«¶đŒâ„ïž
Awww gosh youâre totally fine haha! Proud to bring the circus to pagebound all day & every day! đȘđ€Ąđ«Ą
ayz i'm so sorry i stole your thunder!! you are a gift to Pagebound and this list/its name wouldn't be the same without you and your joy đ©·
What a fun list!! I also love that Iâve either read or have these on my TBR. Can tell I was influenced đ
same... but i made the list so it would be weird not too đ€
I cannot wait to comprehend the lore đ€
I knew for a fact Mad Sisters of Esi would be on here đđđđ
HAD to give credit to the queen of the pyramid scheme đ
đđ you're a real one you've been here since the beginning of that
we've all fallen prey to your genius âšïž
Yeah, same. Came looking for it! I haven't read it yet, but that book has been stalking me and I think I need to give in because I think I'm going to love it... Plus, that cover? UFFFF
Midnight Timetable by Bora Chung was definitely a tbr-train pagebound rec for me (it has such an eye-catching cover). I unfortunately canât remember exactly who I snatched it from, but I think it may have been either Polter or MadHoney? maybe someone else will know? Itâs so fun that youâre collecting all of these!
Oh yay!! I will add, if we find who to credit (besides you for the rec!) I would love that :)
I definitely TBR'ed it early on but so did Mads, I think! I think you're the one who brought it everyone's attention tho. đ«¶đœ
This will definitely be an interesting list lol I can't wait to see what other books are gonna be added her.
(Does Kissing the Corona Virus count cause that book really affected me đ)
Angie omg I must add it are you kidding !!
I actually still remember a quote so well it never leaves my head XD
I must admit I have never been this curious about tomatoes.
A statement echoed across PB
more people need to read the midnight timetable because its such a great book.
and hopefully this propaganda fun list with encourage them!!
âđœ personally victimised by silver under nightfall âđœ please join us in the forums PLEASE
weird being a member of the harem and havenât read, must rectify this very soon đ
i'll actually start foaming at the mouth đ©
Can I read it to you?
Fantasy Story Time? let me snuggle in đ„°
I'll get the fire going and a mug of hot chocolate for you
Is this our versions of a booktok book?
i think so, but i cannot imagine jurassichrist or the tomato book going viral on tiktok đ
Ahhh, of all the nasty little horror books that PB users could steal from me, it had to be Spread Me. Love and hate that that's the book I'm well known for.
Iâll definitely be taking notes on more nasty little horror books to read đ
I have full faith you will provide way more nasty horror books to add to this list đ«¶đŒ
I appreciate that, Billyam đ«¶đœ I will try to live up to the hype
Iâm looking forward to reading it in a few weeks, Iâve been waiting for this book the whole year. I canât wait đ
I hope you enjoy it!
I definitely missed the Silver Under Nightfall lore - whatâs the story there?
the first book @Fantasy showed her true spicy colors đââïž
all I needed to hear

The first I let you see. You have no idea what's in the forums of other books I've read đ
time to start trolling the forums for the good stuff. đźâđš
(my true intentions đ€)
MFM vampires and vampire hunter đ
đ brb adding to TBR so I can lock in on that forum
Amazing. The tomato book is on my TBR bc of yall đđ I'm honestly so curious to know if these are actually really good hidden gem books. Edit: correction I had switched it to my "interested" library. But I really wanna get it soon đ
i'm biased but Mad Sisters is 100% a hidden gem đ© that book changed my life
I still have that on my TBR and every time I see a review, I'm like, I need that soon!
omg!! you simply must read it so i can know all your thoughts! it's life-changing!!
This is so funny đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł I spot Jurassichrist đ
Oh thank the gods for you . . . I've been keeping a mental archive for all the PB lore I've been encoutering, and the shelves in my mental palace were getting a bit chaotic. Very nice to have it all here now đ
Awh đ„čđ«¶đŒ just hoping to capture a small piece of PB culture
đđđ the DNF color being bright ass pink is so abrasive This list is all white and then one bright pink color for Spread Me Itâs like yelling at me Alright I get it, Iâm a failure đ
nothing to fail at đ our enjoyment or lack thereof of the pyramid scheme books are subjective, it's the traumabonding we have along the way that adds to the PB experience đ«¶đŒ
!!! I MADE IT TO THE PB PYRAMID SCHEME??? I didn't even realize đđ
As you should be!!
Me whenever I open my mouth in PB:

That is the most beautiful photo I've ever seen and incredibly accurate.
Thank you! I definitely did not roll out of bed and take 5 minutes to make this for the bit đ
see? heart and soul đ«¶đŒđ (of course you made the list, I'm just here trying to capture the pb magic)
Making the list, and with TWoV, is honestly one of the highlights of the year. This list is so iconic and historic!
I feel VERY influenced to read Mad Sisters of Esi. VERY. I mean... VERY.
I implore you to give in to temptation đââïž
Instantly available on libby. Well... I guess I know what my next read will be!
I'm just sad it doesn't have the audiobook too. Might need to subscribe to some audiobook platform, as I'm so used to do immersive reading and don't want to support audible... Maybe just use the free trial? đ€ I wouldn't be supporting them...
Want to do a buddy read? I have that on my list đ
Omg yes! When can you start?
I'm thinking January? Yourself? I have a few I still want to finish by the end of this year and trying to be realistic.
I think Sky Daddy has earned its place on this iconic list! I donât think I can thank @notlizlemon enough for making all of us read it
đđđ I am not an influencer but I will always try to influence people to read Sky Daddy I am so glad you loved it too!!
You are not an influencer, you are a CEO and Iâm your newest recruit who is ready to make your down line grow, chiefđ«Ą
Not the down line đđđđ Iâm dead
I have found the pyramid scheme!!!!
đđŒđđŒ go forth and spread the PB word!!
and which are you going to read next???
Perhaps Iâm in a PB bubble, but Lobster by Guillaume Lecasble has recently been getting some traction around here, led by @sharky_97. Something to keep on eye on maybe! I know Iâm reading it next month bc of the growing chatter around it :)
I was coming here to see if it might have been added! It's even on Most Discussed Yesterday đ
Most Discussed Yesterday đđŠ maybe I do need to read it⊠do you think libraries all over the world will wonder why Lobster is suddenly being requested everywhere?
I often wonder about that, and sales as well. (And for readalongs too actually!) At some point they most notice these developments, right? đ€
Speaking of readalongs⊠I kind of want a special event Lobster readalong now? Iâm not even particularly interested in the book itself, but a real, not bug-related Lobster badge would be awesome! I hope Sharkyâs cult can make it happen đ„°
Haha what an idea! đđŠđ
Same đ
I feel like sharky's sheer dedication to leading the cult of Lobster deserves recognition đŠđ§đ§đ
i am keeping my eye on it đââïž i'm paying attention to organic longevity for pyramid scheme so i'll be watching
I must request that you please add Lobster by Guillaume Lecasble. @Sharky-97 started quite the revolution đŠ
i've seen it! i responded here :)
Gotha gotcha đ makes perfect sense. Sorry I didn't catch the pervious comment about it (my rather old phone starts to lag the more I scroll, so I only went to far down the suggestions you see đ€Ł)
no worries, seeing the hype pb energy is fun đ
I am the 100th upvote to this list ( very proud moment honestly) This covers half my Tbr ! The PB gods will be so proud of me. SO PROUD!
Elf we could not be prouder than we already are đ«¶đŒ happy to experience them with you!
happy wiggling elf ears
What a fun idea! Here are a few that I seen around: a. Poets Square: A Memoir in Thirty Cats: which I think I will credit you? b. Chain-Gang All-Stars: @crybabybea c. Atlas of AI: Power, Politics, and the Planetary Costs of Artificial Intelligence: have no idea who but I have seen this going around a bit d. Katabasis and Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection: everyone here?
oh leitmotif what a great list!!! I will definitely add and give credit, I think Atlas of AI is our friend @punkerella actually đ€©
Ok I love this. Not sure how that Sarah Gailley book made it past me!
what a moment it was đ€đŒ
yes yes yes to chain gang all stars i will reccomend it until i run out of air and turn blue
a fan favorite!! love seeing this one make rounds :)
that lobster book is going to need to be added soon lol
i will let the pb lore gods speak for themselves âđŒđââïž
oh absolutely! I hope I didn't offend at allâjust been seeing it so much lately that this made me giggle when the list resurfaced in my feed!
you didn't!! a few others have commented the same book today so it's def making it's rounds đ
OPE lol, my bad! I got my first downvote and I was so scared, immediately like omg, what did I do?! This is my fav place on the internet, did not want to cause issues!
you haven't done anything wrong, not sure what's going on, but i wouldn't worry about it đđ
